Foothill was originally called Milpitas Seventh-day Adventist School. The name was changed during the 1986-1987 school year to Foothill Seventh-day Adventist School.
The school started in a geodesic dome in 1977 having just 2 classrooms and 2 teachers with 20 students! Today, from those humble beginnings, it has grown to 6 classrooms, 6 teachers, a principal and over 80 students.
