Leadership/Administration

Principal
Patricia Carpio
Foothill teacher: 2008-2017 | Administrator: 2017-2021, 2025-Present
Mrs. Carpio has served as an educator for 20+ years. In addition to her teaching degree, she has also earned a Master's in Business Administration. She loves making connections with students and inviting them to have a personal relationship with Jesus. Her ultimate goal is for Foothill’s students to feel like they belong and to help them achieve academic success.

Secretary
Jackie Carrillo
Foothill staff since 2006
Ms. Jackie has worn many hats while at Foothill. She has worked in afterschool daycare, as a teacher’s aide, and now spends her time in the office. She is a valuable member of our team, and she continues to love working at Foothill and Discoveryland where it feels like home and family to her.

Administrative Assistant/Registrar
Rebecca Jayme
Foothill staff since 2025
Rebecca Jayme joined the Foothill office staff in September 2025 and has enjoyed becoming part of the school community. She appreciates the opportunity to support students, families, and staff through the daily work of the office. Rebecca especially values the relationships built through everyday interactions and enjoys contributing to the welcoming environment at Foothill. She is grateful to be part of the MAC family and looks forward to continuing to serve the school community.

Business Manager
Orson Chung
Foothill staff since 2006
Mr. Chung has been an invaluable member of the MAC team for many years. Although his title is business manager, he also helps with handyman duties as well as IT management. He has a heart for ministry and works hard to make sure our schools are fiscally responsible.

Kindergarten Teacher
Chona Torres
Foothill teacher since 2023
Mrs. Torres brings over 12 years’ teaching experience. She earned her Master’s degree in teaching with a specialization in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction from LSU. Kindergarten has always been her passion, and she enjoys making learning fun, meaningful, and engaging through age-appropriate teaching strategies. Her goal is to create a nurturing classroom environment where students feel safe, loved, and excited to learn. She is passionate about helping children grow academically, socially, and emotionally while guiding them to develop a strong love for Jesus and others.

1st and 2nd Grade
Giset Garcia
Foothill teacher since 2024
Mrs. Garcia has taught 1st & 2nd grades for two years now. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies from California State University at Fresno and her Teaching Certification from Pacific Union College. She loves working with children and sharing the love of God. Her goal is that every student in her classroom feels safe and loved while achieving their academic potential.

3rd and 4th Grade
Ashley Acevedo
Foothill teacher since 2026
Ms. Acevedo is passionate about helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally while developing a lifelong love of learning. Having served as both a classroom teacher and a teaching principal, she is committed to nurturing the whole child and creating a Christ-centered environment where students can thrive. Ms. Acevedo loves working with children and is deeply grateful for God's calling to guide young people as they grow in knowledge, character, and faith. Outside the classroom, she enjoys singing, reading, spending time in nature, and learning new skills.

5th and 6th Grade
Joven Flores
Foothill teacher since 2022
Mr. Flores is a teacher who brings creativity, faith, and purpose into everything he does. He goes beyond the regular classroom lesson by creating meaningful experiences that help students grow academically, spiritually, and personally. He works to help students discover their gifts and use them well. He cares deeply about his students and is always looking for ways to make learning more engaging, thoughtful, and connected to real life. His classroom reflects his desire to help students become not only stronger learners, but also faithful, responsible, creative, and compassionate young people.

7th and 8th Grade
Michelle Mendaros
Foothill teacher since 2023
Mrs. Mendaros brings 7 years of experience and a heart for Christian education to our school. Mrs. Mendaros joined our team with a teaching certificate and secondary English endorsement from Pacific Union College. She is deeply passionate about music ministry and strives to create a supportive, Christ-centered environment where students are empowered to take active ownership of their learning. Whether she is mentoring young writers or leading out in worship, Mrs. Mendaros is dedicated to ensuring her students grow both academically and spiritually.

Afterschool Daycare
Andrea Araujo
Foothill staff since 2022
Ms. Andrea has helped us with translation, teaching languages like French, Spanish, and English, and has helped us with our afterschool and summer daycare programs. She feels privileged to be a part of Christian education ministry.
